JPM Agricultural is a leading supplier of agricultural equipment based in Lincolnshire. They supply, repair and maintain:

Scenario

In 2012, JPM Agricultural started planning the expansion of their business through the buyout of M W Shepherd, a similar business servicing the agricultural industry in Lincolnshire. JPM Agricultural approached T J Dixon Limited to find a cost effective solution for merging the two businesses into a single entity using our expertise in business analysis and project management.

Solution

A thorough analysis of the two businesses was performed, engaging with all employees to understand the services offered by the separate businesses. The employees were also engaged throughout the business analysis allowing us to collect their feedback on the options available. Each option was researched to provide a full breakdown of costs along with advantages/disadvantages. A management decision about the available options was simplified allowing the business to move forward quickly at this critical time. On selection of the preferred option the project was fully managed by us, enabling them to focus on the physical merging of the two businesses.
